TBX-Dialects are formed by combining one or more data category modules. The public dialects (TBX-Core, TBX-Min, TBX-Basic) are formed on a non-overlapping “telescoping” principle, in which each higher-level dialect contains the modules included by the lower-level dialect it expands upon, plus one or more of its own modules.
e.g.: TBX-Core contains the Core module. TBX-Min, which is the next dialect in the series, contains the Core module and Min module. TBX-Basic, which is directly beyond TBX-Min, contains the Core, Min, and Basic modules.
Due to this “telescoping” principle, the public modules do not repeat data categories included in previous modules, as doing so would cause overlap of data categories in the telescopic public dialects, resulting in potential duplications.
